External (facade) blinds are gaining more and more popularity. They are a modern element that adds lightness to the shape of the building. They are installed outside and are best suited to facilities with large windows or glass facades.
In modern energy-saving buildings and passive houses, large glazing is used on the south side, which is why they are exposed to excessive sunlight. The use of blinds therefore protects against excessive exposure to light, and also gives a sense of privacy.
It should be noted that the shutters also provide an effective thermal shield and support the work of the air conditioning. A thermal barrier (air mass) is created between the lamella surface and the glass, which slows down the heat transfer. Thanks to this, at a temperature of 35 ° C outside, you can lower the temperature inside the building down to 10°C!
The slats are the most important element of the blinds. C-shaped or Z-shaped aluminum plates. Their width depends on the type of shutter. They come in two widths: C80 and Z90.
C80 C-shaped lamella, 80 mm wide (180 ° rotation)
Z90 Z-shaped lamella, width 90 mm
